Willett Pot Still Reserve

Willett Pot Still Reserve is the bottle that turns heads on the back bar, and not just for what is inside. Housed in its iconic pot-still-shaped glass, this Kentucky straight bourbon from the Willett Distillery is as much a conversation piece as it is a genuinely good pour. We keep it stocked in West Seattle because it gives our guests a chance to enjoy a Willett bourbon that drinks easy and looks unforgettable on the table.

About the Distillery

The Willett Distillery, a family-owned Bardstown, Kentucky institution dating to 1936, has built a devoted following for both its bourbon and rye. The Pot Still Reserve is one of its most recognizable releases, named and shaped for the copper pot stills at the heart of distilling. It is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon designed to be approachable and broadly appealing.

Style & Mash Bill

This is a Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey bottled at 94 proof. It is built on a wheated-leaning recipe, reported at roughly 65% corn, 20% wheat, and 15% malted barley, which gives it a softer, rounder character than a high-rye bourbon. It carries some age, generally landing in the well-matured range.

Tasting Notes

The nose suggests vanilla and lemon cake, with the classic bourbon cherry and a gentle oak spice. The palate balances caramel, vanilla, soft baking spice, and a touch of citrus, with the wheat keeping everything smooth and easygoing. The finish is medium, leaving oak, vanilla, and a hint of lemon-pepper warmth.

How to Enjoy It at Camp West

At 94 proof, this bourbon is comfortable neat or over a single rock, where its caramel-and-vanilla sweetness opens up. It also makes a smooth, crowd-pleasing Old Fashioned if you want it stirred. Our pour is $17. Pull up a seat by the fire and enjoy the view of that famous bottle.
