Freezer Martini

Some martinis are stirred. Ours lives in the freezer, which is exactly how a martini should be. The Freezer Martini is Camp West’s take on the classic, served bone-cold and silky-smooth at our 21+ cabin-inspired craft cocktail bar in the West Seattle Junction. It is clean, bracing, and built for the purist who wants their first sip to be as cold as a mountain morning. If you love a martini that arrives frosty and stays that way, this is your pour in West Seattle.

What’s In It

The Freezer Martini keeps things classic and precise: Aspen vodka and Dolin dry vermouth, blended into a silky freezer martini. Dolin dry vermouth, a Vermouth de Chambery from the French Alps, is a light, fresh, fortified wine infused with more than thirty alpine herbs and flowers. It brings delicate floral and chamomile notes, a whisper of citrus peel, and a clean, dry, lightly herbal finish that keeps the drink crisp rather than sweet. Held at freezer temperature, the cocktail pours with a touch of viscosity, that signature silky texture a properly cold martini is famous for.

How It Tastes

This is a martini stripped to its purest, most satisfying form. It is dry, clean, and impossibly smooth, with the vodka’s subtle backbone framed by the gentle herbal lift of the Dolin. The freezer treatment gives it a velvety, almost oily texture on the tongue and a cold that hits like alpine air. Expect a crisp, dry finish with faint floral and herbaceous notes lingering behind. Minimalist, elegant, and seriously refreshing.

The Story Behind the Name

Out at camp, the coldest spot is the prize, the stream you stash your drinks in, the cooler buried in snow. The Freezer Martini is our love letter to that idea: keep it cold, keep it ready, keep it simple. No fuss, no warm-up, just a glass that comes out frosty and goes down smooth. It is the martini that has already done the hard work for you.

What to Pair It With

A clean, dry martini wants savory, salty, or rich companions. The Delmonico Steak Bites are a natural match, the cold martini cutting through their richness. Our Arancini play beautifully against the dry profile, and the NY Strip Steak makes it a proper steakhouse moment. See the full dine-in menu for more ideas.

FAQ

Why is it kept in the freezer?

Pre-batching and freezing a martini keeps it ice-cold and gives it a silky, slightly thicker texture without diluting it with melting ice. It is the secret to a martini that stays cold to the last sip.

Is it very dry?

Yes. With Dolin dry vermouth and vodka, it leans crisp and dry with subtle herbal notes, not sweet.

Can I get it with a twist or olive?

Just ask your bartender about garnish options when you order.
