Grey Goose

A French Classic

Grey Goose is the vodka that taught a generation what “premium” could mean, and it holds a comfortable spot on the shelf at Camp West in West Seattle. Created in the Cognac region of France by maître de chai François Thibault, it is built entirely from French ingredients, from the wheat in the fields to the spring water near Cognac. The result is a smooth, soft vodka that has become a benchmark for the category.

We keep it on hand for guests who want something a little more refined, whether that is a clean martini before dinner or simply a vodka they know and trust. It is an easy upgrade when the occasion calls for it.

About the Distillery

Grey Goose’s production is entirely French. The vodka is distilled in Picardy, in the northeast of France, and then sent to the Cognac region for blending and bottling. The recipe was developed by François Thibault, who applied his Cognac-making background to vodka, and the whole process stays under tight French quality control from grain to glass.

Base & Production

Grey Goose is made from soft winter wheat grown in the Picardy region of France. The wheat is sown in October and harvested in August, giving it extra months of growth compared with summer grain. After distillation, the spirit is blended with spring water from a natural source in Gensac-la-Pallue near Cognac, naturally filtered through Champagne limestone. There is no added flavoring; this is a pure, unflavored wheat vodka.

Tasting Notes

The nose is soft and subtly sweet, with a gentle hint of almond and a touch of citrus. The palate is smooth and rounded, with a creamy, full texture and a clean wheat character. The finish is long and gentle, with very little burn, which is exactly the polish Grey Goose is known for.

How to Enjoy It at Camp West

Grey Goose is at its best where smoothness matters most. Order it in a crisp vodka martini, straight up with a twist, or simply over ice with soda when you want a clean, elegant pour. It also lifts any vodka cocktail that benefits from a softer, rounder base. Our pour is $12.
