Milagro Añejo is one of the smoother, oak-rested tequilas on the agave list at Camp West, our 21+ cabin-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant in the West Seattle Junction. Made from 100% blue agave grown in the Jalisco Highlands, this añejo spends time in oak to round out its bright agave character into something warm and sippable. It is the kind of pour we reach for when a guest wants a tequila to slow down with, neat, the way you might settle into a cabin chair at the end of a long day.
About the Producer
Milagro was founded by two Mexico City natives who set out to pair Mexico’s tequila tradition with a more modern, creative spirit. The brand sources its blue agave from the Altos de Jalisco (Jalisco Highlands), a region prized for sweet, well-developed agave. Milagro slow-roasts the agave piñas in traditional brick ovens, then uses a combination of pot and column distillation to balance agave character with a clean, smooth finish.
Agave & Region
This is a 100% blue agave (Agave tequilana) tequila from the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. The elevation and red, iron-rich soil of the Altos region tend to give agave a fruitier, floral profile compared to lowland (valley) tequilas. The añejo expression is aged in oak, which softens those highland notes and adds color and depth.
Tasting Notes
Expect cooked agave and gentle oak up front, with notes that lean toward vanilla, caramel, and warm baking spice from the barrel. The texture is smooth and rounded, with a long, mellow finish. It drinks easy without losing the agave backbone that makes a good añejo worth sipping.
How to Enjoy It at Camp West
We pour Milagro Añejo at $15. It is at its best neat or with a single large cube, where the oak and agave have room to open up. It also makes a richer, more contemplative base for an Old Fashioned-style agave cocktail if you would rather have it stirred. Ask your bartender and we will point you toward the right pour for the night.
