G4 Blanco is a tequila lover’s tequila, an additive-free, agave-forward blanco that has quietly become one of the most respected bottles in the category, and we are proud to pour it on the agave list at Camp West in West Seattle. Made by Felipe Camarena at the famously sustainable El Pandillo distillery, G4 is the kind of clean, expressive spirit that converts skeptics and delights anyone who already cares about how their tequila is made. If you want to taste pure Highland agave done right, this is the one.
About the Producer
G4 is created by Felipe Camarena and distilled at El Pandillo in Jesús María, Jalisco. The name “G4” honors four generations of the Camarena family’s tequila-making tradition. Felipe and his family are widely respected for clean, additive-free production, and El Pandillo is known as one of Mexico’s most sustainable distilleries, powered by solar energy and recaptured heat. The attention to craft here is exceptional.
Agave & Region
G4 Blanco is made from 100% blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco. The agave is slow-cooked in traditional stone ovens for around 22 hours, crushed with a handmade tahona, and distilled in copper stills. A distinctive touch is the water: a blend of collected rainwater and spring water. The blanco is bottled unaged and additive-free, so what you taste is pure agave and place.
Tasting Notes
G4 Blanco is clean, bright, and beautifully balanced, with cooked-agave sweetness, soft citrus, and gentle floral and mineral notes. The additive-free approach lets the natural agave character lead, finishing smooth, fresh, and lingering. It is the kind of blanco that tastes alive in the glass.
How to Enjoy It at Camp West
G4 Blanco is best enjoyed neat in a tasting glass so you can appreciate its purity, though it also makes an outstanding top-shelf margarita or Paloma. If you have never sipped a blanco on its own, this is a great place to start. A pour of G4 Blanco is $12.
FAQ
What does additive-free mean? It means no flavoring, coloring, sweetener, or glycerin is added to the tequila, so the flavor comes entirely from the agave and the distillation process.
Should I sip G4 or mix it? Both work, but many fans sip it neat to appreciate the clean agave character. It also elevates a quality margarita beautifully.
