Mijenta Blanco

Mijenta Blanco is one of the most thoughtful bottles on the agave list at Camp West, the 21-and-over cabin-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant in the West Seattle Junction. A 100% agave, additive-free blanco from the highlands of Arandas, Jalisco, made under master tequilera Ana Maria Romero, it pairs beautiful flavor with a serious commitment to sustainability. That combination of craft and conscience is exactly why it found a home on our shelf in West Seattle.

About the Producer

Mijenta is led by celebrated master tequilera Ana Maria Romero, one of the most respected palates in the agave world. The brand is a certified B Corp, built around sustainability from the ground up: carbon-conscious production, packaging that incorporates agave-waste paper, locally sourced materials, and support for the jimadores who harvest the agave. It is a modern tequila with old-world care, additive-free and agave-driven.

Agave & Region

Mijenta Blanco is made from Blue Weber agave grown in the red clay soils of Arandas, a high-elevation pocket of the Jalisco Highlands prized for producing sweeter, more aromatic tequilas. The agave is cooked slowly in traditional brick ovens, then double-distilled in copper pot stills. The agave is grown without pesticide or herbicide treatments, and the finished blanco carries no additives, sweeteners, or colorants.

Tasting Notes

Mijenta Blanco is expressive and elegant. The nose offers cooked agave alongside floral notes of white flowers and peach. On the palate, expect fresh fruit, gentle vanilla and caramel sweetness, and warm spice like cinnamon, all carried by a clean, aromatic agave core. It is smooth and layered, the kind of blanco that rewards a slow sip and shows off just how good a highland tequila can be.

How to Enjoy It at Camp West

Given its aromatic complexity, we suggest Mijenta Blanco neat at room temperature in a tasting glass so the florals and fruit come through. It also makes a refined, expressive margarita or paloma if you would rather have it shaken. A pour is $12. Let your server know you are after something elegant and additive-free and we will set you up.
