Made by Scheid Family Wines in Monterey, it’s built for guests who want a delicious glass with zero sugar, fewer calories, and lower alcohol, without giving up flavor. It’s a smart, easygoing option that fits the welcoming, do-your-own-thing vibe at Camp West.
About the Winery
Sunny With a Chance of Flowers comes from Scheid Family Wines, a family-owned and operated producer with estate vineyards spread along roughly 70 miles of California’s Salinas Valley in the Monterey AVA. The Scheid estate vineyards have been certified sustainable since 2014 and the estate winery since 2018. The Sunny line launched in 2020 as a fresh take on lighter, more mindful wine.
Region & Grape
This is Chardonnay grown in Monterey, California, a coastal region where cool ocean air leads to a long, gentle growing season. That extended hang time builds bright fruit flavors and keeps the wine fresh and balanced. The result is a Chardonnay that drinks light and clean while still tasting like the real thing.
Tasting Notes
Each glass brings notes of golden apple, Bartlett pear, and lively citrus, finishing with a subtle touch of vanilla. It’s crisp, bright, and refreshing, with the lighter body and lower alcohol that define the Sunny style. A genuinely satisfying glass that won’t weigh you down.
What to Pair It With
Its bright fruit and lighter body make it a flexible food wine. Try it with our Golden Salmon Cakes, the Kale Caesar, or the Peri Peri Cauliflower from the dine-in menu. The fresh citrus and apple notes keep lighter plates feeling vibrant.
How We Pour It at Camp West

Yes. The Sunny line is made as a zero-sugar, lower-calorie, lower-alcohol wine, around 9% ABV, while still delivering full Chardonnay flavor.
Does lower alcohol mean less flavor?
Not here. It’s crafted to taste like a complete, fruit-forward Chardonnay with golden apple, pear, and citrus, just in a lighter, fresher style.
